What will Kate's wedding dress look like?

That's the $6billion question. All eyes will be on soon-to-be Princess Catherine in two days' time as she climbs out of the car with her father. Everyone's expecting a demure dress with sleeves. But the certainty ends there. Will she wear a tiara? Will it be a slim-line dress? Or a puffy dress? Will she wear a lace veil? How long will her train be?

So what's more topical right now than the wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton. Recently there was speculation that Sarah Burton from Alexander McQueen has been chosen to design Kate's gown.

Although I can't see the edgy McQueen designs on Kate on her wedding day, I think she may take some inspirations from the iLoveThese inspirations from Alexander McQueen's Fall/Winter 2011 collection.

Kate was seen at her latest public engagement in sleek and classic feminine lines and I'd like to bet that her much-talked about wedding dress will reflect that style. Fergie recently got married to Josh Duhamel. Although I'm not the biggest fan of her wedding dress, I am a big fan of the flower applique at the back of her mermaid-style wedding gown.

During the wedding ceremony, most of your guests will be staring at the back of your dress. So it makes great sense to pay attention to the details of the back of your dress. Probably what Fergie figured as well!

Cristina, played by the lovely Sandra Oh, wears a strapless Kenneth Pool gown which features a mermaid cut with gorgeous intricate beading on the bodice. She also wears (reluctantly apparently) a choker that has been in Burke’s family for generations.
